Published pictures and names of robots Dentsu Kibo, one of which must be in the summer to fly into space


The company Dentsu released pictures and names of robots created as part of Kibo. One of the two robots, focused on the interaction with the person this summer to take part in space flight.
Dentsu Kibo robots were named Kirobo and Mirata
Names robots - Kirobo and Mirata - were selected from 2452 of the options proposed by the project's website.
Robot Kirobo in June will be sent to the International Space Station, where he will meet with the winter Japanese astronaut. Mirata robot is used as a backup. Left on Earth, he will participate in educational programs and activities for children.
Robot dimensions - 34 x 18 x 15 cm, weight - 1 kg. The robot is able to recognize the voice, natural language processing, a synthesized voice. He has telecommunications functionality, can recognize faces and to the movie.
Along with experts Dentsu, the project involved colleagues from the University of Tokyo, companies Robo Garage and Toyota Motor. Currently, the project participants are busy preparing the robot to fly.
