PLDA and ReFLEX CES could combine the merits of the CPU and FPGA in a new line of products in the category System-on-Module

Company PLDA, specializing in the development of intellectual property , implementing features PCI Express and other interfaces, and the company ReFLEX CES, creating complex embedded systems, announced a joint project aiming at the production of articles Category System-on-Module (SoM).

Software developers for embedded systems can use the SoM and baseplate for prototyping solutions "turnkey". This approach makes it possible to transfer the production of hardware platform with the same architecture, which has been used to develop and optimize a set of hardware, reducing time to market.

The series will include models for SoM production FPGA Altera and Xilinx. These partners are a key advantage of the flexibility and ease of programming CPU, combined with the capabilities and configuration of parallel processing for FPGA. Using the integrated platform can significantly reduce the cost of components - assessment of project participants, the savings can reach 40%. An important advantage is the ability to use the chip, manufactured by advanced process technology , which improves signal integrity and use serial protocols with a throughput of several gigabits per second. The presence of advanced power management ensures energy efficiency.

The first representatives of line PLDA SoM will be released in March.
