Phase One evaluates the dynamic range of digital backs IQ2 series in 13-step exposure


Phase One company this week unveiled a new series of digital backs for the 645 format cameras. The series includes three models IQ2 - IQ280, IQ260 and IQ260 Achromatic, dynamic range that the manufacturer estimates the 13-step exposure. One of their common features is the presence of the wireless interface. This, in particular, allows using the application Phase One Capture Pilot App remotely view the image, captured the backdrop, the screen tablet iPad. Of course, there is the wired interface.

Sensor resolution is 80 megapixel IQ280, IQ260 and IQ260 Achromatic - 60 megapixels. A distinctive feature of the model is the formation IQ260 Achromatic black and white and no infrared filter. In color backdrops used 16-bit color per channel. Type of sensor - CCD. If IQ280 size of the active region is 53,7 x 40,4 mm, IQ260 - 53,9 x 40,4 mm, IQ260 Achromatic - 53,7 x 40,3 mm. The available range of light sensitivity is ISO 35-800, 50-800 and 200-3200 respectively. The minimum shutter speed is 1/10000 s. Shooting speed high-end model is 0.7 frames per second, the other two - one frame per second. Sensors are equipped with touch screen measuring 3.2 inches diagonally. The manufacturer notes that backs sensors developed in collaboration with Teledyne Dalsa.
Sales of digital medium format backs Phase One IQ2 to begin in June. Prices start at 29,990 euros mark.
