The company Xilinx has announced the availability of intellectual property (IP-core) 1024QAM, realizing the function of microwave modem connections for gigabit-class "point-point" in the transport networks of communication. The transmission speed can be up to 1 Gbit / s in a single polarization and 2 Gbit / s - with dual polarization. The advantages 1024QAM also provides increased immunity, supports modulation from QPSK to 1024QAM, channel separation at 3,5-112 MHz, adaptive modulation, adaptive digital predistortion, error control coding, etc.
IP-core 1024QAM already available to some customers. Widely available, it will appear in May 2013.
