Full-frame sensor, created Canon, lets you shoot video with illumination 0.03 lux

Canon on the site the other day it was reported that the Japanese manufacturer has developed a highly sensitive full-frame (35mm) sensor type CMOS, designed exclusively for the video. According to the manufacturer, the sensor allows you to capture images with a resolution of Full HD, even at very low light.

The sensor has a square pixel with a side of 19 microns, which area is 7.5 times the pixel sensor used in the camera Canon EOS-1D X and other similar cameras.
According to the developer, the pixel circuits read the new sensor technology is applied, which lowered the noise. This made it possible to get a clear video in light conditions 0.03 lux. Approximately the lighting provides a crescent - the human eye is difficult when it parses the surrounding objects.
Capabilities of the new sensor has been tested in practice - for this purpose, the manufacturer has created a prototype based on his camera.
