Division of Toshiba Electronics Europe (TEE) has announced the start of sales of solid-state drives, which use 19-nanometer flash memory type MLC NAND. According to the manufacturer, the new family includes the smallest SSD in the world with the high-density (with dimensions of 30,0 x 50,95 x 3,95 mm, they have a capacity of up to 256 GB).
Drives 512, 256, 128, and 60 GB made in the form factor 2.5-inch and offered thicknesses of 7.0 mm and 9.5 mm. Device form factor mSATA are 256, 128, and 60 GB.
Develops a model of a new family reading speed depending on the amount of up to 534 or 510 MB / s, write speed - from 430 to 482 MB / s. Claimed average time between failure - 1.5 million hours
Among the innovations that have found application in a series of drive family THNSNH, manufacturer selects data protection using proprietary error correction Quadruple Swing-By Code (QSBC).
Allegedly, the new drives are ideal for use in high-end laptops, tablets, PCs, desktops, workstations, and industrial computers.
