The development, carried out by the company Neonode, specializing in optical technology for touch input, allows the entire surface give smartphone and even his ability to cover touch input. According to the manufacturer, it can change the view of the interaction between the user and the mobile device. Solution based on patented technology input with infrared radiation, can be integrated directly into a smartphone running Android, iOS or Windows Mobile, or accessory to it, for example, as mentioned above, cover.
In the development of proximity sensors are used near and far range, which allows to extend the touch input beyond the plane of the touch screen. Make notes of the sensor to recognize multiple simultaneous touches (Neonode calls the technology Multisensing) and not just touch, but approximations to the smartphone from different sides. In other words, putting "beyond the physical boundaries of the device", covering the surrounding area, and the interaction with the user interface is more intuitive.
