Company Aptina, specializing in the production of image sensors, introduced the technology Clarity +. In short, the essence of this technology - in a departure from the traditional use of filters RGB. According to the developer, Clarity + revolutionize mobile photos, will improve the sensitivity by more than half and improved color and detail when taking pictures in low light conditions.
As stated, the technology will enable Clarity + recently introduced Aptina sensor with a pixel size of 1.1 microns surpass the best of today's sensors with reverse flare and a pixel size of 1.4 microns. Moreover, the manufacturer intends to use the Clarity + sensors in the next generation, with more than 20 million pixels, each 0.9 microns.
Detail Clarity + manufacturer does not disclose limited mention of proprietary technologies and A-PixHS MobileHDR, as well as a reference to the extensive experience in the development of image sensors. It is known that the effect of Aptina Clarity + is the result of an array of color filters, the characteristics of the sensor devices and data processing. The technology is fully compatible with the currently used algorithms subsampling and bug fixes that, according to the manufacturer, ensures no visible artifacts.
A transducer with Clarity + sensor Aptina AR1231CP was 1/3, 2-inch 12 MP pixel size of 1.1 microns and back illumination. It supports full-resolution shooting at 60 f / s and shoot video in 4K UltraHD at 30 f / s. Currently available study samples Aptina AR1231CP.
