Qualcomm and MediaTek see no sense in the eight-processor for mobile devices

Eight-core processors for mobile devices, has recently talked about: the above single-chip platform, which includes in its membership of eight CPU cores, works LG, while the Samsung and Renesas Mobile already have them. However, not all of the industry are convinced of the benefits of the "eight cores." Among the skeptics, for example, Qualcomm and MediaTek.
As informs DigiTimes, Qualcomm and MediaTek, probably temporarily halted plans to develop eight cores.According to industry sources, the two firms have at least two reasons to doubt the feasibility of the production of such SoC.
The first reason - lack of confidence in the compatibility of the operating system, applications, and, in fact, an eight-core processor. The second - the lack of demand for finished devices on appropriate SoC. Sources also say that the current versions of operating systems is enough quad and therefore it is not clear how much will be able to do eight-ready device to improve communication with the user.
It is reported that currently the main customers are not interested in MediaTek eight-devices, so instead of wasting efforts on the development, the company will focus on refining the current platform. Obviously, the same way and will go Qualcomm.
