In the fourth quarter of 2012, NVIDIA has provided 81.7% of the world's supply of 3D-maps for workstations


Downturn in the workstation market, which lasted from the fourth quarter of 2011 to the third quarter of 2012, to the past. According to research firm JPR, recovery emerging in the third quarter , continued during the final quarter of the year.
However, to speak about the growth can only be formal positions. In the three months from October to December, manufacturers shipped about 934,000 workstations that only slightly exceeds the previous quarter, equal to 932 thousand. Note that the fourth quarter is traditionally marked by a seasonal rise in demand.
Still, analysts see signs of recovery in the market. Analysis of statistics from previous years showed significant slowing of renewal of the workstations. Recently, consumers gradually increasing willingness to catch up during the crisis. At the same time, part of the aging systems are not replaced with new ones and undergoes modernization, which explains the relatively slow growth in sales. This year, analysts expect the increase in growth rate.
Remains the undisputed market leader with a share of HP Company in the amount of 42.8%, in the second place - Dell, the third - Lenovo.
