AMD has announced the availability of professional graphics cards AMD FirePro R5000, designed to work with demanding graphics applications on IP-network. According to the manufacturer, compact, energy-efficient and low-cost graphics card AMD FirePro R5000 «is the ideal solution for IT managers who work with the Data Processing Center (DPC), and regularly face problems of limited space, budget and expensive cooling".
AMD FirePro R5000 combines the architecture of the AMD Graphics Core Next (GCN) and PCoIP technology company Teradici (this technology has recently occurred in the news about the "zero client" LT4100 CLI ), which provides high quality three-dimensional graphics to a minimum and reduces the delay playback. The new solution improves the efficiency and simplify the job, such as when using CAD, visualization, medical imaging and financial services. Card AMD FirePro R5000 supplements information security protocols, allowing to maintain the level of protection for corporate IP-networks.
In the configuration of the interface card is PCIe x16 2 GB memory type GDDR5, connected to a 256-bit bus with a capacity of 102 GB / s.
The card supports up to four remote display resolution up to 1920 x 1200 pixels (at 60 Hz frame rate) or to two - 2560 x 1600 pixels (on the client side need an adapter that combines port pairs). In addition, there are two mini-DisplayPort outputs for monitors and local connection port Ethernet.
Supported API includes DirectX 11.1 with Shader Model 5.0, OpenGL 4.2 and OpenCL 1.2, and the list of compatible operating systems include Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Linux (32-bit and 64-bit versions).
